Meet SUSANA ROBLES, LMFT

Hi, I'm Susana!

I believe therapy can provide a space to slow down, feel supported, and gain clarity during life's most challenging seasons. Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, motherhood, or a major life transition, my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered as you move toward meaningful change.

As a bilingual therapist who speaks both English and Spanish, I am passionate about supporting women, mothers, and first-generation adults navigating the unique challenges that can arise when balancing personal needs, family expectations, cultural values, and multiple responsibilities. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood not only as individuals, but within the context of the relationships, families, and communities that have shaped them.

I work with adults who are carrying a great deal—often balancing the needs of family, work, relationships, and personal expectations while trying to find time for themselves. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from the person they want to be.

Together, we create a space where you can openly explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and self-compassion.

My Approach

My style is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I believe that every person's story deserves to be heard without judgment and that meaningful growth happens within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

I recognize that our relationships, life experiences, and environments influence how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. In therapy, we'll explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be contributing to your current challenges while building on your strengths and resilience.

I strive to help clients:

  • Better understand themselves

  • Strengthen relationships

  • Set healthier boundaries

  • Manage anxiety and stress

  • Navigate life transitions with confidence

  • Create lasting and meaningful change

Why Sostén Therapy?

The word sostén means support.

I chose this name because I believe everyone deserves a place where they feel supported, especially during times of uncertainty, transition, and emotional overwhelm. Therapy can be that space—a place where you don't have to carry everything alone.

At Sostén Therapy, my hope is that clients leave each session feeling heard, supported, and equipped with the tools they need to move forward.

A Few Things That Matter to Me

I am passionate about supporting:

  • Women navigating life's many roles and responsibilities

  • Mothers adjusting to the emotional challenges of parenthood

  • Adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, and stress

  • Individuals working through relationship challenges and life transitions

  • First-generation adults balancing personal goals, family expectations, and identity

I believe healing happens when we feel connected, supported, and understood.

My passion for supporting women, mothers, and first-generation adults is rooted not only in my professional experience, but also in my personal journey.

As a mother and working professional, I understand how easy it can be to put your own needs at the bottom of the list while trying to care for everyone else. The mental load of managing family responsibilities, work demands, relationships, and daily life can feel overwhelming, leaving little space to rest, reflect, or care for yourself.

As a first-generation daughter, I also understand the unique challenges that can come with balancing family expectations, cultural values, and personal goals. Many first-generation adults carry a deep sense of responsibility toward their families while also trying to create lives that reflect their own needs, identities, and aspirations. This experience can bring pride and resilience, but it can also bring pressure, guilt, self-doubt, and difficulty setting boundaries.

These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the roles we carry and the importance of having a space where we can be fully ourselves. While every person's story is unique, I understand what it can feel like to navigate competing responsibilities, high expectations, and the desire to show up for others while still honoring your own well-being.

My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. Whether you're navigating motherhood, relationship challenges, anxiety, burnout, or life transitions, I am committed to helping you feel less alone in the process and more connected to the life you want to build.
